Now the ball is in the court of AK and he should play it with carefully Yes! Writing on wall is very clear – AAP’s entry in Capital Over to Kejriwal !
Yes, the citizens of capital of India – Delhi – have given an opportunity to Arvind Kejriwal – AK – to give practical shape to his ideology to avoid its dependence on the crutches of others. People have seen a ray of hope by posing a confidence in AK and his party.
First, after getting the majority at the Centre followed in some other states, the Modi Wave in the country has lost its image with the results in Delhi Assembly elections. Second, Amit Shah too is going to face tough time in the coming days and Third, while the Congress and BJP are introspecting the reasons behind their defeat, the other rival political parties in the country while enjoying their defeat (Congress & BJP) are also confused, stunned, perplexed, and bewildered over the success of Aam Aadmi Party. The Delhi Assembly elections were announced at such a time when its first year – known as the Honeymoon Period – has ended before presenting of its first budget. Ultimately the common man is responsible for the shameful defeat of BJP at the Centre.
Aam Aadmi Party – AAP – cropped up from the movement against corruption by Anna Hazare – have once again conquered the castle of Delhi with historic majority of 67 seats out of 70 with only three to Bhartiya Janata Party and zero to Congress, the other major century old national party.
In fact, everyone was waiting for Delhi elections being a special mile stone in the political history and this is the reason, Modi led government came into power was adopting the dilly-dallying attitude for its announcement. The movement it got distinctive performance in Maharashtra,Haryana, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir, it took a decision to go ahead but could not stand against the increasing importance of AAP despite inducting Kiran Bedi – KB – and projecting her as Chief Minister candidate for Delhi. This idea was not digested by the seasoned party leaders and internal bickering led to the loss to the extent of getting only three seats. Similar was the position for Congress but the party is happy for making out the BJP from Delhi with support from the back end.
Democracy is a very simple and best administrative system and it has been adopted by the old-time leaders with due intelligentsia after studying the Constitutions of other countries. In democracy, the real power lies with the voters but the mission of politics have made the leaders and its parties it as profitable profession. The freedom, which we got after great sacrifices – to get rid of greed, luxurious living, dictatorship, and rule of family dynasties – have been put by our leaders in the political parties and crossed all limits even after independence of more than six decades.
The elections with democratic way were introduced for the leaders with clean and honest image but leaders have made it a ladder for grabbing power in their own hands.
The politics of our country has become dirty. The last UPA government has lost its image due to corruption cases to the extent that the identity of the party is in danger and its clean sweep in Delhi elections is indication of trend of voters of democratic country where anything can happen at any time.
Whatever has happened in Delhi, the writing on the wall is very clear that the common man is not satisfied with the working of both the parties – Congress and BJP. They have misled the people by not fulfilling the various promises made with the people. It is seen that the politicians are becoming rich day by day and common man is becoming worried for his daily needs.
The candidates contesting for elections should have clean record but leaders of most of the parties are involved in various civil and criminal cases that mould the various sections of laws according to their own requirement. The need of the hour is that no candidate facing any criminal proceedings should become member of any political party but these political parties do not take it seriously unless and until the charges are proved. The legal process is so cumbersome that it takes a year to decide the cases and the politicians continue to enjoy the blues of politics. In fact, the political parties look for the candidates who can spend heavy money and have the winning capacity but the Delhi elections are an advice to these leaders and politicians to learn a lesson. For them, once again the writing of the wall is very clear. The political parties have looted too much of the country and people don’t have more tolerance power. In case the present era, still 40 per cent people don’t get a required food to eat and what is the fun of keeping hold over the economy by hardly the 10 per cent people of the country.
Frankly speaking, the votes of Delhi have become eye-opener for rest of the country by bringing Kejriwal in power by following the trailer of his 49 days rule. The citizens of capital of India – Delhi – have given an opportunity to Arvind Kejriwal – AK – to give practical shape to his ideology to avoid its dependence on the crutches of others. People have seen a ray of hope by posing a confidence in AK and his party.
Now the ball is in the court of AK and he should play it with carefully to give a clean, honest and transparent, rather I would say accountable, administration. He should dare to say “Yes to truth and No to lie” and move carefully from self-interests, corruption and dynasticism. He should be serious about the problems of the people by giving priorities to water, electricity, inflation, education, health and security of women. Over to KJ !
