The day I realized – Love is not blind!
Normally the quote spoken is – Love is blind but really love sees rather in a beautifully and powerful way.
Whereas the story in a Chinese film of 2011 – Love is not Blind – which became a major commercial success in China, goes like this that Huang Xiaoxian, a 27-year-old woman who lives in Beijing, breaks up with her boyfriend of 7 years after witnessing him on a date with her best friend in a shopping mall.
Heart-broken and depressed, XiaoXian mopes around at work and nearly gets fired for screwing up a big assignment. With the surprising help from a colleague she usually loathes, Xiaoxian gradually heals, starts to see more truly of herself, and finds love from someone who has always been there for her.
In fact, love is not blind; it simply enables one to see things others fail to see. It should not always be conditional. And there are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.
Since the things don’t always turn out the way you planned or the way you thing they should but one should keep looking for better ones, as long as you have people who love you.
Mandy Hale has rightly quoted those two things you will never have to chase; true friends and true love. At the same time, love is not what you say but love is what you do.
Love is something what I feel is to create a faith in people. Most of us have two lives. One the life we are living and the other unlived life within us.
Money had number of different names – in a temple or a church it’s donation, in a school it’s fee, in a divorce it’s alimony, employer to worker its salary, given to wife it’s a duty, illegally received in the name of service it’s bribe and so on. Likewise, when you love to your father, mother, brother, sister, friends and wife, it gives you a different feeling.
Frankly speaking, I could realize that love is not blind only when I happen to visit a blind couple a long back. Both were working in the education department at different stations. Now both are retired on pension and living a happy retired life with two sighted children too working in the education department.
They were so conditioned with the circumstances and never – here I use the word felt back instead of looked back, as they are managing everything at their own right from daily routine work like a sighted couple, to cooking, washing, attending to duty, bringing up of children.
When I entered their house, they both were sitting on the chair and discussing the personal affairs. I had association with the family being associated with the Home for the Blind since four decades and they are the product of that institution. They had extra sensory memory to recognize the visitor from their voice. The moment I said, Sharma Ji, I was welcomed with folded hands and then hugged. Later on, after a chit-chat, I was offered a cup of tea with biscuits nicely prepared and served without any impediment. When I see the number of marital dispute news even in the case of ‘love marriages’, today I can say that this visually impaired is the best couple on this planet earth.
That was the day, I could realize that love is not blind, it is a feeling
