‘I’ is the centre of SIN
Not for me, even for everyone ‘sin’ is what we do wrong for others but well for ourselves. Every sin is committed for personal satisfaction or to settle the score with the enemy. Sin is considered as an immoral act considered being a transgression against divine law.
There is a famous quote by Mahatma Gandhi, ‘Hate the sin but love the sinner’. Then the question arises as to why we commit the sin? Here it means that the person doing the sin must be committing under some peculiar circumstances that is why we should love the sinner to help him.
We don’t bother as to what we are doing for others. But it is an admitted fact that before we could open our eyes to see the cross as if something has been done for us; we must have to see it as something done by us. Anyhow, you will agree that in this materialistic world, everything sinful is glamorous these days.
Sin, as it is treated like a, create puff instead of a rattlesnake. Any work by a man with logic is treated as the sin, without going into the facts. But after committing the sin, regret is not a proactive feeling. It is situated in disappointment, sorrow, even remorse. It merely wishes things were different without an act to cause a difference. However, repentance is different. Repentance is an admission of, hatred of, and turning away from sin before the Almighty.
Joseph Prince has rightly said that Sin does not stop God’s grace from flowing, but God’s grace will definitely stop sin.
The other day when it came to my mind to write middle on sin, I made a Google search for it and I found the first thing was sin also stands for Social Insurance Number – SIN in Canada which is a nine-digit number that one needs to work there or to have access to government programs and benefits. But if one is not eligible for SIN, he can apply for an Individual Tax Number for tax purposes.
Another search which clicked was that there is also a Sin Centre also known as Entertainment Palace consists of a bowling alley, a cinema theatre, coffee bars and dance areas.
Frankly speaking, let me share with you that whatever may be different meanings for sin as a word or an abbreviation, my final search to the diary of my father, which he used to maintain is still useful on many occasions to have positive thoughts in life to do good for others, to have good from them only by thing good for whole of the world. When I turned on the pages, at one of the pages, it was written – ‘I’ is the centre of SIN with the explanation that to every sin we are the centre. It is our driving force – our thoughts – our thinking style – compels us to do the sin for personal contentment but we are definitely polluting our environment by committing sins.
In fact, the Sin penetrates to the heart, darkens and hardens it until it extinguishes the light of belief. Each sin has a path that leads to unbelief. Unless that sin is swiftly obliterated by seeking God’s forgiveness, it grows from a worm into a snake that gnaws at the heart.
Since sin is deeper than bad behaviour, we should try to do better will not at all be a solution. Only the grace that changes your heart can rescue us from being a centre of sin.
