The New Year’s Eve is a special time which everyone can look forward to fresh outlooks on life, reaffirmation of love and unbreakable promises to loved ones for a better and brighter future. It brings not only happiness; it makes us happy with a hope to fulfil our dreams or a new beginning of our life. It’s always very special to everyone.
Exchanging gifts and greetings on certain special occasions like birthday, marriage anniversary, new years is an old custom. But presenting a gift as per the liking and need, at the receiving end is always needed and appreciated.
With the invent of mobile technology and availability of various features to exchange texts, photos and beautifully designed messages with quotes in the language one like purchasing of greeting card for the particular occasion has become a thing of the past.
It was a regular feature to send the official greetings to their clients and by one friend to his other best friends. Now the greetings are more rituals than feelings expressed in the marvellously and magnificently worded in the cards of designed for posting on the social media.
Nevertheless, sometimes these are not just mere greetings. They are powerful blessings, setting the best vibration for the day. No matter how busy you may be, but do spare some time for yourself and your family to celebrate the New Year which always signals new beginnings.
Anyhow, New Year is like a blank book and the pen is in your hands. It is more important that it is changing for you to write a beautiful story of yourself. Most of the people make special goals for the new year such as getting in shape, going on weight loss journey, pursuing career goals or simply spending more time with family and friends and the list could be long and different for everyone. It is an admitted fact that these goals help us to look ahead with positivity and optimism, ultimately benefitting our well being as a whole.
Frankly speaking, whether it is morning, afternoon or night, we should make sure that what we say, say right and if we convey in persons, we should greet each other with a smile, hug and speak kind words.
I recollect an incident of three decades back when I received a handwritten New Years’ Greeting Card from my close female friend, with a special mention at the end of the card as ‘Yours Only’. But, it was more surprising for me when I witnessed the same worded greeting card from the same friend to another friend as Yours Only at the end. It looks to be a good idea to please everyone.
