Journalist Harish Monga’s book ‘Frankly Speaking’ released by DC Ferozepur
Ferozepur, July 24, 2020: Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur Gurpal Singh Chahal on Friday released the book `Frankly Speaking-feeling sometimes is not a reality” written by Ferezepur based social worker and Assistant Secretary of Homes for the Blinds Harish Monga. Presently, he is working as District Correspondent with leading news portal of Punjab – Babushahi.com.
He was recently conferred with the ‘Social Worker Award’ by His Excellency, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, V.P. Singh Bandore. Besides, he is a follower of Dev Samaj – Science Grounded Religion and honour its ethics for the last 41 years. While releasing the book, DC congratulated Harish Monga for his services to the literature and sought more information about the book from the author.
Harish Monga explained that the book is based on the day today incidents and life experiences, which he has been collecting for decades adding he said that all of those incidents has been presented in a unique style with catchy headings that attracts the attention of the readers. He said, the book focuses on whatever learning experiences I have come across in my life, I have accumulated them in my book, in a lighter way.
He further said, “I have tried to co-relate each title with realities of life to make it more educative, informative, knowledgeable, and message able by tastefully picking them from the spoken words during discussions. or reading books – to make my own World of Words. The book will be a showcase of multiple issues that we face in our personal and professional lives. I hope while reading this book, readers will be reminded of various amusing and learning experiences in their lives too”.
Detailing further, the author said that earlier in 1992 he has already published a Punjabi book named Akhon-Parokhe, which was a collection of poems, Ghajals and stories of renowned authors including his own writings. He said that the sale collection of that book Rs. One Lakh was donated to the Homes for Blinds as the book was dedicated to the visually impaired community.
Giving his personal introduction, Monga said that he has been served as Personal Secretary in the renowned food grain agency Markfed and after the retirement he has passed a diploma in Journalism and since then he has been serving society as a social worker.
On the occasion Assistant Commissioner, Ravinder Arora, SDM Amit Gupta, Secretary Red Cross Society Ashok Bahal, President Press Club Jaswinder Sandhu, Chairman Rajesh Mehta, Gaurav Sagar Bhaskar, Harjinder Sharma, Sunny Chopra, Cyclist Sohan Singh Sodhi and other were present.
