How Artificial Intelligence (AI) became a hot topic of the 21st Century
HARISH MONGA
Today, I thought that the coming time will be controlled by Artificial Intelligence. Whenever there is a new theory or invention, we try it, adopt it, enjoy it and later on discard it, when it is not suitable to us, or some new concept has come up.
The artificial glamour of Intelligence: Why AI is truly remarkable
Just like humans can practically do any human job, so can an AI. This includes making art or writing beautiful lines of poetry or simply working an office job. In the 21st century, we live in an age of development and data. Companies are hiring people to make AIs and develop them to fit customers’ needs. Since AI finds its application in almost every field – like a human – most people working with high-end systems and technologies have begun to learn AI and it grows like wildfire with time.
EVERY NEW INTENTION FIRST NEED TO BE WELCOMED
But, you are welcome to the age of AI, where the world is lit not by switches but by our wishes and commands to the machine. However, sometime back, I wrote that AI will be dangerous as only a few people will work for the AI data, and machines to feed and others will be lethargic because everything will be automated – not by switches but by our wishes and commands. You don’t have to read and write even when the board of the computer, laptop or mobile will take you to the AI World. Just imagine for a moment this situation.
The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shown a trend of growth in the 21st Century (from 2000 to 2015). The evolution in AI has advanced the development of human society in our own time, with dramatic revolutions shaped by both theories and techniques.
HUMANS AND MACHINES
Humans and machines have a long history that dates back to the invention of the first wheel cart and the first fire-lighting device or mechanism. Humans have for a long time sought the invention of an automaton – a machine that can mimic humans. And the most characteristically unique feature possessed by humans is intelligence.
Hence when computers came into play after the Second World War – thanks to Alan Turing – humans finally got the perfect thing which ran upon data structures and algorithms and hence could mimic the human brain. What we possess is natural intelligence – provided to us directly by Mother Nature. And so, we try to create a model of it – and since we made it – call it artificial intelligence.
CONTROL POPULATION TO ENJOY THE AUTOMATED MACHINE WORD
Automatic machines and the invention of computers have reduced employment opportunities as compared to the increase in population ratio. The situation is going to be worse in the coming time. Either we have to control the population or we have to stop the inventions which are not human-friendly as per their availability in millions. Change is the law of nature and evolution theory has been working rapidly for centuries. So we have to control the population because of limited sources of opportunities in this AI world or Automated Machine World.
STILL ‘WHAT IS NEXT’ IS THERE
On the other hand, to prove my point of view, the sole entity in the whole universe with the power to study itself remains the only human brain that still can compel you to think over What is Next. Now see, I wrote What Next and it has changed to What is Next, this AI tool of Grammarly checks, when you are not good in grammar and someone else has done this job for this work. In other words, you will get everything cooked one. You just go on writing without bothering about the grammar of the script but just express your ideas.
