One such Freemason Hall is available in Ferozepur also. I happened to visit on Sunday and with the stone of Masonic Temple, Ferozepur Cantt 1934, the old infrastructure speaks of its importance and its usage for meeting purposes with six Holy Books lying on the table in front of the chair of Worship Master.
Freemasonry or Masonry refers to fraternal organizations and guilds of stonemasons that, from the end of the 14th century, regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients.

Freemasons belong to the oldest fraternal organization in the world, a group begun during the middle Ages in Europe as a guild of skilled builders. With the decline of cathedral building, the focus of the society shifted. Today, “Freemasons are a social and philanthropic organization meant to make its members lead more virtuous and socially oriented lives,” says Margaret Jacob, professor of history at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Freemasonry is one of the world’s oldest secular fraternal societies. It’s a volunteer association that teaches moral, intellectual, and spiritual lessons through three initiation ceremonies. Freemasons strive for truth and high moral standards in their own lives.
Freemasonry is organized into smaller units called lodges, where members meet and hold meetings. Each member can choose the lodge they want to join.
