After leaving school, Khudiram became a member of the Revolutionary Party and played an important role in distributing Vande Mataram pamphlets. On 18 April 1908, Khudiram and his companions set out for Muzaffarpur to kill Muzaffarpur Judge Kingsford. It was decided that the bombs would be thrown only when Kingsford returned by Baggi (Carriage). When the Baggi reached Kingsford’s house, both of them threw the bomb. But the judge’s life was saved. Actually, two other women were traveling in the carriage on which Khudiram threw the bomb in which a woman was attacked and died in this incident.  Bose was, however,  arrested on 1 May 1908. After the murder trial, the court sentenced Khudiram Bose to death.
