When every day there is opportunity for a kindness…!
Albert Einstein said that all that is valuable in human society depends upon the opportunity for development accorded the individual.
Every day is a new opportunity and one can build on yesterday’s success or put its failures behind and start over again.
However, it depends upon on an individual as to how he sees the difficulty in every opportunity or the opportunity in every difficulty.
Normally, we follow the opportunities enjoyed by others as they are tested one and given something new to the society. Our society shapes us in many ways possibly more than we realize but first we shape the society which we have created depending upon our needs of each other. Living alone in this world is a thing of the past now. Even otherwise genetically we rely on one another for the survival of humanity.
One who gets the opportunity of his internal development, the outer development is bound to be there. People do make mistakes and I think they must get punishment. At the same time, they should be forgiven and given the opportunity for a second chance. After all, we are human beings. But this does not apply to the heinous crimes committed in the society. Rather in such cases, there should be rare of the rarest punishment so that others may not dare to do or land in that opportunity which is not acceptable to the society.
One should take advantage of every opportunity to practice so that when an important occasion arises you will have the gift, the style, the sharpness, the clarity and the emotions to affect other people.
Everyone has to become a part of problem or solution. If you are not a part of the problem, you are definitely a part of a solution. Both have links with each other and an opportunity from both the factors. But one thing is certain highest level of performance comes to people who are centred, intuitive, creative and reflective – who know to see even a problem as an opportunity.
Frankly speaking, few memories remain etched in the heart and mind forever. I have realized that wherever there is a human being, there is an opportunity for a kindness.
I recollect that my chance to go through the newspaper with news of lathi charge on the blinds motivated me to dedicate myself to the cause of their community. Had I not witnessed the photograph published in the newspaper, the blinds community in my city could have been deprived of my services or my driving force could have taken me to some other path, which has no recognition of the certain category of people.
I still hold well that your life is basically a sum of all the choices you make. The better your choices will give you the better opportunity to lead a happy life.
Life is not always easy to live, but the opportunity to do so is a blessing beyond comprehension. In the process of living, we will face struggles, many of which will cause us to suffer and to experience pain. Certain opportunities come once-in-a-lifetime and will be a moment in one’s history and that will always be remembered. We all must try to open the doors of opportunity and take the responsibility also to equip our people to walk through those doors. I always look forward to a new opportunity to make the historic moment extremely special.
