When I said, “Looking busy, doing nothing”…!
After retirement, I spend most of my leisure time in reading, writing and talking with the people on various topics, usually dominated by politics nowadays, to make my own opinion before final touch to my write-up.
I am not a politician or attached to any political party. All I want is to know the facts and not to spoil my write-ups merely by perception or pursuance.
In fact, the eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend. But if the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. It is but natural that no two people see the external world in exactly the same way. But one thing is certain that when we shift our perception, our experience changes.
Then, the question arises, what is the truth? It is not there as there is the only perception which is your own as you are clear about your concept. Like, unless you have a perception of – Who you are? – for example, as a lawyer, you will never be at ease in dealing with legal matters, clients or courts. But, if you know who you are and why you are there, then all you need are the expertise and the information.
For the purpose, you have to think of the perception of things before you actually do certain things. Everybody interprets things differently with their own perception in the case of poet, artist, painter, designer etc. But don’t forget to keep in mind that perception is created and twisted so quickly and sometime you will be confused to arrive at any decision.
Everyone who means well gives advice based on his or her perception. I have realized that while it is important to hear the suggestion, one should only listen to oneself. With time and experience comes a different perception of what is going on around you and then our understanding is correlative to our perception.
Frankly speaking, I think that politics is a game of perception. Normally the political parties do not give any proper information to the electorate. It is normally left to the people like me to do that job by writing. But such numbers are too small, this is the worry. But with the passage of time, I have realized that the birth of any proverb is the outcome of a number of experiences. When the other day, someone asked me, as to what are you doing now a day? Normally, I say, enjoying my bonus life with suffixing the famous proverb – “Looking busy, doing nothing”.
