Share Goodness, Hide the Bad — Change Society, Starting With Ourselves!
Have you ever thought that if we have a good thought, a good idea, or useful knowledge, what harm is there in sharing it with others?
I believe God has made every person useful in some way. Someone can visit a sick person, help those in need, or guide others through his or her experience.
But what is our problem? Instead of appreciating the goodness in others, we often start looking for their shortcomings.
My father used to say, “If you have something good, share it with others. But if you have something bad to say, keep it to yourself.”
There is another thing we need to understand today. Earlier, we were told, “Do good and forget about it.” But today, sometimes it is also important to let people know about the good we do—not for praise, but so that others may get inspired and do something good for society.
Our society will change only when we stop treating others as strangers and start treating them as our own.
Even within families, the time for sitting together and talking is gradually disappearing.
Remember, knowledge grows when we share it, goodness spreads when we share it, and society becomes stronger when we start treating others as our own.
Frankly speaking, don’t wait for others to change.
The change must begin with us.
